The "Before Times"

Are you guys as proud of your kids as I am of mine?

I’m sitting here on my deck. Thinking how this summer has started off so brilliantly better than the last one. School is finished. Grades are in, and Gabe did well. His hip has fully healed. He’s driving and becoming even more independent than he already was.

The last year wasn’t easy, but he did it.

Our family got COVID shots. We’ve already taken one family trip. Football practice has started.

I no longer feel the need to reminisce about the “before times” because the future is here. And it looks pretty damn good.
