My kid did a thing today.

Gabe passed his checkride today after a short delay due to last week's bad weather. He's officially a licensed pilot.

I snuck over to Brookfield and stalked his progress. From orals to preflight to flight exam, it took about four hours. After congrats and handshakes all around, he hopped back in the plane and headed home. Next up? College and instrument rating.

Thanks to his instructors, his ground school buddies, his grandparents and everyone else who helped and encouraged him.
